The film adaptation of the popular Naughty Dog video game series Uncharted will feature Tom Holland in the lead role of Nathan Drake, according to Deadline. Holland is best known for his portrayal of Peter Parker/Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War and the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming.

The casting may seem odd to fans, given that the Nathan Drake players control in the games is a seasoned explorer and thief in his late 30s. The Uncharted film, however, will be expanding on a flashback sequence from Uncharted 3 in which Drake first meets a major influence in his life, Sullivan.

The movie will be directed by Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum, The Internship). A release date for the film has yet to be announced, though filming is expected to begin later in 2017 after Uncharted has largely stalled in preproduction for more than five years.
