Baltimore Comic-Con returns to the Inner Harbor for its 18th year on September 22-24, 2017. This year’s show is paying tribute to one of the comics industry’s most beloved talents and influential artist of the past 20 years, Mike Wieringo.

Todd Degazo, co-creator with Wieringo on Tellos, has put together a 500-page, two-volume memorial that continues the thrilling adventure fantasy series. The Mike Wieringo Tellos Tribute Book 2: By Thy Side will make its long-awaited premiere during the Baltimore Comic-Con.

This all-ages fantasy features everything from sword-wielding tigers and high-flying pirates, to a boy with a magikal amulet, a fox who is a thief, dragons and mages and ogres and faeries. Many of the industry’s top artists contributed to this tribute and will lead a panel discussing its creation. Following the panel, an exclusive signing will allow readers an opportunity to get autographs from many of the artists involved.

“Mike was greatly loved-and is greatly missed. It was heart-warming to see so many fantastic artists contribute their time and talents to this memorial to Mike,” said Dezago of his late pal and partner.

All proceeds from this project are being donated to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Wieringo’s name. This non-profit organization is dedicated to preventing cruelty to animals.
