Netflix has released the first new images from their upcoming series, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, a prequel to the original Jim Henson film. According to the official synopsis, the show will focus on three young Gelflings that will inspire a rebellion against the evil Skeksis after learning the secret behind his power.

In addition to the new images, Netflix has also announced the cast, which will see Mark Hamill, Nathalie Emmanuel, Anya Taylor Joy, Taron Egerton and Helena Bonham Carter all lend their voices to the various puppet characters.

The series is based on Henson’s 1982 film The Dark Crystal and is being produced by Louis Leterrier (The Incredible Hulk) in addition to the Jim Henson Company. Age of Resistance will also feature work from Brian Froud, the film’s original conceptual designer. The series is set to debut in 2019.
