Following the success of the 2018 reboot, two new Halloween films are now on the way, according to a new announcement made at Comic-Con.

Called Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends, the films will release in October 2020 and October 2021, respectively, forming a trilogy with last year’s film. The brief teaser trailer seems to confirm that Jamie Lee Curtis will once again return to the role of Laurie Strode to be terrorized by Michael Myers.

The 2018 Halloween reboot starred Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, James Jude Courtney, Nick Castle, Will Patton, and Virginia Gardner, and was directed by David Gordon Green. It grossed $255 million at the box office, making it the highest grossing entry in the franchise as well as the highest grossing slasher film of any kind, and received positive critical reviews as well.
