March was a busy month for the movie and TV studios, who released multiple trailers for exciting upcoming projects. We learned more about Garfield’s next movie, met a few Strangers, and witnessed a Jedi killer. Below are some of the big trailers that dropped during March 2024.

The First Omen

In the movie, which is a prequel to 1976’s The Omen, an American woman named Margaret (Nell Tiger Free) travels to Rome to begin her life of service in the church where she uncovers something nefarious. The new trailer introduces Carlita, a young woman at an orphanage who starts to draw disturbing attention like young Damien did in the original movie. Father Brennan (Ralph Ineson) warns Margaret of the evil that will come and his belief that Carlita has been chosen to be the mother of the antichrist. The movie arrives in theaters on April 5, 2024.

Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver

Zack Snyder’s new science fiction franchise introduced Kora (Sofia Boutella), a mysterious warrior who helped protect people at the edge of the galaxy from the Regent Balisarius. Atticus Noble (Ed Skrein) is gunning for Kora in the sequel while she and others continue their battle with Motherworld. The trailer teases the conflict between Kora and Atticus Noble, Jimmy the robot’s capabilities in battle, and survivors preparing to defend Veidt. Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver will arrive on Netflix on April 19.

The Strangers

The Strangers: Chapter 1 introduces Maya (Madelaine Petsch), a woman moving to the Pacific Northwest with her fiancé Ryan (Froy Gutierrez). Their happy stay at an isolated house in Oregon is interrupted when the Strangers come a-calling. The trailer teases unsettling scary moments when the male Stranger watches Maya shower, the couple find a dead animal hanging over their table, and a chase through the woods. It ends with a scene that mirrors a pivotal moment in the first film when the heroine asks why they are being targeted. It will be released in theaters on May 17, 2024.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga

The new trailer opens with young Furiosa being captured and growing up in a terrible, hostile environment. Dementus leads his gang on a quest for better resources, destroying whatever is in his path. Much of the trailer is devoted to the sundried desert landscapes and the war wagons racing for the green place. There are fights, crashes, fires, and more gasoline fueled chaos along the way. The trailer ends with Furiosa cutting her hair into the familiar shaved look that Charlize Theron sported in Mad Max: Fury Road. It drives into theaters on May 24, 2024.

The Garfield Movie

An indoor cat goes on an outdoor adventure in the second trailer for The Garfield Movie. The trailer opens with kitten Garfield being separated from his father when the scent of pizza and lasagna tantalizes him. It flashes forward to when adult Garfield is a happy, lazy cat living with his human, Jon Arbuckle, and his dog buddy, Odie. That’s when Garfield and Odie are kidnapped, reunite with Vic (Garfield’s dad), and try to escape a few unsavory characters. The movie will debut in theaters on May 24, 2024.

The Acolyte

The show is set during the High Republic era that took place 100 years before the prequel trilogy. When a Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae) investigates a violent crime spree, he comes face to face with a dangerous individual from his past (Amandla Stenberg). The trailer opens with the Jedi Master instructing younglings about the Force, while the assassin tries to kill another Jedi (Carrie-Anne Moss). A group of Jedi set out to find the rogue warrior, culminating in a lightsaber-heavy confrontation. The first two episodes of The Acolyte debut on Disney+ on June 4, 2024.

The Crow

Following the storyline that James O’Barr crafted in his gritty, supernatural comic, the movie starts with Eric Draven (Bill Skarsgård) and his girlfriend Shelly (FKA twigs) being attacked and killed by criminals. But, Eric’s death is only temporary when mystical forces resurrect him as the revenge-seeking antihero, the Crow. The trailer teases his transformation from living, breathing man to unkillable weapon of vengeance. It introduces the cadre of bad guys he’ll face, led by Danny Huston’s as-yet unnamed villain, and the very bloody way that he’ll kill those who murdered him and Shelly. It will be in theaters on June 7.
