Situation: explosive!

The Hulk is dead and the verdict on Hawkeye is in. But that’s just the opening act for issue 4. Tony Stark is not happy that Captain Marvel is relying on Ulysses’ visions of the future. Especially after he does some research on the Inhuman’s brain to determine the accuracy of his visions. Rather than come at her guns blazing Tony decides to appeal to another leader among them. Someone Tony has disagreed with in the past and is hoping will help him safeguard the future.

Since the very first issue of Civil War II writer Brian Michael Bendis has been gradually turning up the heat and we’ve finally gone from a simmer to full blown boil. The tone has been amazing throughout the miniseries making each issue exciting while also letting the reader know that something huge is yet to come. Plus, the ethical and moral questions being posed make this an intellectually stimulating story.

David Marquez and Justin Ponsor are turning in some beautiful art and colors, respectively. The characters are so well drawn and expressive that they succinctly tell the entire story with every grimace, every teeth grinding glare. Ponsor chooses colors well producing heat and electrified energy or cool, calculated reason when necessary.

I can only imagine what the team has in store for us next.
