In Mars Attacks Occupation #5 (of 5) Supreme Sector Overseer Zar faces the Martian High Command to quell their concerns of human rebellion. That is until they show him of the fighting happening on Earth. Humans are finally fighting back, led by the inspiration and urging of the resilient Ruby Johnson. Can the humans finally topple the Martian Empire?

Written by John Layman, this was a pretty good conclusion to the miniseries. It seemed to wrap up very quickly, but did not miss out on Ruby’s attitude and gumption. The story doesn’t really break new ground but it’s fairly entertaining and fun. The art by Andy Kuhn and colors by Jason Lewis combine to make the book weird, colorful, comical look mixed with some sci-fi and horror. It’s a good title for something off beat.
