The ongoing Civil War II event has already involved a number of significant casualties of popular characters, perhaps none better known than Bruce Banner. But much as the Hulk has always been popular with readers, he wasn’t exactly a favorite in-continuity due to his destructive nature. As both sides of the ongoing conflict come together to mourn the loss of their friend, another issue arises – that being that Bruce wasn’t the only Hulk, and his living will dictates how his possessions (and knowledge) will be passed onto the other four.

The Fallen is an interesting and well-executed tie-in to the Civil War II event at-large, as well as the other series that include the various Hulk-related characters. While I don’t believe it’s likely that Bruce Banner stays dead for too terribly long, this book serves as a nice tribute to the character. Probably not worth looking at unless you’re already following the event storyline, but if you are, it’s definitely worth a read.
