Since Green Arrow went through DC Rebirth it has been almost non-stop action. Oliver Queen has been stripped us his wealth and has been betrayed by some of the people closest to him. But that’s not stopping Green Arrow from fighting back. In issue 5 he executes a full blown assault on Inferno with his entire fortune poised as collateral damage, not to mention a few key players – Diggle, Canary, Emi, and Cyrus Broderick.

Woo doggie, Green Arrow has been very good since it was rejuvenated with DC Rebirth. I’m loving the series. The interplay between Green Arrow and Black Canary, between Ollie and Diggle has been very entertaining. Benjamin Percy has written an enjoyable first story arc, which will undoubtedly have consequences once the dust settles. There have been some surprises, including in this issue, and some interesting turns that will provide fertile ground for future issues.

Juan Ferreyra’s art is clear and easy to follow, yet it’s filled with details. The characters are very expressive, without being cartoony, Inferno’s headquarters look like they were described by Dante, and his use of color isolates each panel, particularly playing on the element of fire that Inferno loves so much.
