Archie Comics; $3.99

Archie and Betty are experiencing relationship problems – though for once, not with each other. Archie ends up being totally ghosted by Ronnie after she catches him hugging Betty, and Betty’s new beau Sayid gives her a similar cold shoulder after also witnessing that event. Meanwhile, the mayoral results are in – and one Hiram Lodge is none too pleased with the results, to the point where he’s willing to bail on Riverdale entirely.

Archie #12 is jam-packed with all kinds of drama, as well as a good bit of action thanks to Betty’s driving skills. This issue is a solid look at how Archie and Betty’s relationship is set to evolve, though with a certain redhead about to enter the picture, things may be getting way too complicated all over again. If you’re not already reading Archie, you should be.
