The countdown for Rita’s ultimatum is almost over and she’s getting ready to attack cities all over the world. Jason tries to stabilize the Dragonzord while Tommy fights their mysterious foe. But the other Rangers’ powers are still missing, leaving them helpless in the fight and Billy is still held prisoner with Goldar as a cellmate. Things are looking pretty grim when Tommy has a radical idea for how they might win this fight.

Kyle Higgins wrote a good issue. This story has been both exciting and interesting, with each issue building on the success of the last. It has the hallmarks of a typical Power Rangers story with the team working together to figure out solutions to the mounting threats. But, this isn’t just a monster of the week. Rita has taken bolder steps to become ruler of Earth, making the stakes very, very high.

On the art side, illustrator Hendry Prasetya has produced interesting art. The Rangers don’t really resemble their TV show counterparts, but the style works so well for the villains. Rita is given hard angles and every part of the metallic menace looks sharp and impenetrable. On colors, Matt Herms makes the costumes pop and creates cool effects with the energy of the morphing process.

In “The Ongoing Adventures of Bulk & Skull,” by Steve Orlando with art by Corin Howell and colors by Jeremy Lawson, the duo are trying to save the Bulk sandwich and convince Stone to help them.
