For Mulder it’s the summer of 1974 and he is obsessed with his sister’s disappearance. With aliens on the brain he is hunting for UFOs with his friends Tim and Eric. They have found several bizarre things and clues that seem to appear extraterrestrial, including finding a man who is muttering about bright lights in the sky. The adults in town keep telling Mulder and his friends that everything is as it should be. But are they telling the truth?

Scully’s story takes place in the summer of 1977 when her Sunday school teacher has been killed. The local cops keep telling her to stay out of the way, but Scully can’t help but think that her teacher was killed for a reason. Even though she may be putting herself in danger, Scully keeps searching for the killer.

Mulder’s story is by Jody Houser and Matthew Dow Smith with script by Houser, plus art and colors by Chris Fenoglio. Scully’s story is by Smith and Houser with script by Smith, and art by Corin Howell.

Both adventures are very good. They follow the style of the TV show paying particular attention to each character’s investigatory methods. Mulder is skeptical and curious while Scully is analytical and methodical. The kids are just like their adult counterparts, complete with mysterious and spooky art.
