Archie Comics; $3.99

Master conniver Reggie Mantle is interested in a few things – mainly, destroying Archie and also landing himself a date with Midge. And he thinks he’s figured out a way to kill two birds with one stone: by using Archie’s stolen cell phone to hit on Midge, infuriating Moose to the point where he’s ready to rumble. Betty’s on to his schemes – and, surprisingly, so is his pup Vader – and things quickly backfire.

Reggie and Me continues to be pretty entertaining, striking a good balance between humor and the classic Riverdale High drama. It’s been interesting to see how this book has profiled Reggie. He’s definitely not someone worth rooting for (at least not yet) but it’s shown that he’s more complex than some of the other books in Archie’s lineup portray him to be. Reggie and Me is definitely a worthwhile read for anyone who’s been following the “New Riverdale” lineup.
