Neela Sethi, a talented physicist, figured out a way to move through time and discovered Do-Bot, an evil robot that’s destroying time. She contacted superheroine Faith to stop Do-Bot, but repeated attempts have failed. Faith has enlisted other Valiant heroes to defeat the evil robot and save time. But that hasn’t worked.

In the fourth and final issue of the miniseries, Faith thinks outside of the superhero box and enlists a supervillain to save the world. Chris Chriswell, that is. She goes back 15 years to when Chris arrived in LA with the dream of becoming a villain actor. Playing on his dreams, Faith convinces him that she’s working on a short film and he’d be perfect for the villain role that stops the other villain. So crazy it might actually work.

Jody Houser continues to write some very entertaining Faith comics. They have heart, they have a good story, humor, pop culture references, and thrilling heroics. After the last issue ended with so many Valiant heroes unable to stop Do-Bot, the situation became pretty dire. Using Chris Chriswell’s hopes and dreams to save the day was not only very clever, it was also pretty funny. And though this story is over, the ending promises that Faith will return!
