When we last saw the Third Doctor he had enlisted the help of his former selves in “The Three Doctors” to defeat the insane Time Lord Omega. After defeating the fiendish villain, the Doctor was rewarded with a new TARDIS dematerialization circuit and his Earth-bound exile was lifted. Just in time too! The Doctor, Jo Grant, and the Brigadier were called in by UNIT in Fairford to combat robot machines. Following the altercation, the Doctor takes a sample back to his lab where he seemingly encounters the Second Doctor.

It turns out the robots are actually micromachines with a hive mind capable of creating itself countless bodies just by using its surroundings. Behind the scenes a mysterious foe is working to steal Time Lord technology. A task that actually forces the Doctor and the Master onto the same side. At least for the time being, this is the Master after all. Between hypnotism, labs transporting back in time, attempting to preserve history and the discovery that a certain character isn’t who he says he is, this novel is not lacking in excitement.

Paul Cornell expertly captures the many voices in the Whoniverse and creates a fast-paced adventure. Meanwhile the captivating art by Chris Jones brings the entire adventure to life. Grab your copy today!
