The Shadow Batman miniseries comes to a close in issue 6. Ra’s Al Ghul is controlling Damian, forcing the boy to attack his father alongside himself. The Shadow and Shiwan Khan are locked in their own battle, which goes beyond the physical plane and into their own minds. But these fights aren’t the only ones that the Shadow and Batman must defeat. The Silent Seven is still in charge of the world’s data, holding it hostage and carefully disseminating only what they deem fit.
This has been a very entertaining miniseries. The Shadow and Batman are good for each other, using their separate intellect and determination to track and battle their foes. Steve Orlando did a very good job writing this story, balancing the characters, crafting a complicated narrative worthy of their opponents. Seeing them together in another miniseries would be a welcome sight.
