Nadia Van Dyne is back, alongside the Agents of G.I.R.L., are fully back in action, and are ready to take on the techno-terrorism of Advanced Idea Mechanics. Though Nadia’s the only one who can shrink down in order to fight the bad guys, her backup at G.I.R.L. have come up with some clever ways to assist. Though it turns out that one of the folks assisting AIM is one of Nadia’s former Red Room associates, which complicates things – and, on top of that, Nadia and Janet have just two weeks to get everything together for the upcoming G.I.R.L. Expo.

Between the style of writing and of the artwork, it’s pretty clear that The Unstoppable Wasp is aiming for the younger crowd, particularly at girls – but there’s nothing wrong with that. It’s off to a good start, and has plenty of action in addition to other drama. That there’d be such a solidly interesting kid-friendly hero can only be a net positive for Marvel, and I hope that this series proves to be one worth following in the coming months.
