In 2015, Dontnod’s Life is Strange took the gaming world by storm with its narrative driven episodic game. Now, Titan Comics is reuniting readers with popular characters like Max Caulfield and Chloe Price for a new emotional rollercoaster. After discovering her ability to rewind time, Max saved her childhood friend Chloe from being murdered.

Unfortunately, due to the butterfly effect, Max was forced to choose between sacrificing Chloe’s life to save their home of Arcadia Bay or sacrifice Arcadia Bay to spare Chloe. The comic picks up one year after the heart-breaking ending of the video game, in which Max fatefully chose Chloe over Arcadia Bay. The timelines have become tangled around Max, leaving her jumping from different timelines within the multi-verse. While this is draining in itself, once Max realizes the effects it’s having on her best friend she knows she must make a hard choice. Again.

Emma Vieceli captures the teenage angst and friendship that made the video game such a massive success. Meanwhile the art by Claudia Leonardi brings this literal fight against time to life in striking detail.
