Since 1970, the entire month of February has been dedicated to celebrating important people and events in honor of Black History Month. During this month, why not take the time to visit a savvy site focused on the ingenuity and accomplishments of the top Black inventors over the last 300 years.

At the Black Inventor Online Musuem you can learn all about the wonderful and innovative things we use everyday that were invented by African Americans. Their contributions are chronicled and the inventors are profiled, providing information for those interested in these pioneers of Black History.

Such pioneers include Valerie Thomas who developed the 3D optical illusion device, Daniel Hale Williams who pioneered open heart surgery, as well as Garrett Morgan the inventor of the traffic signal and gas mask, and creator of a laser surgical device, Patricia Bath.

Head over to blackinventor.com to read about these great and often unrecognized pioneers in the field of invention and innovation.
