Cartoonist and caricaturist Angelo Torres, known for his work in MAD, EC, and Warren, is the subject of the new short film, My Dinner with Angelo. Now streaming on Vimeo, the movie features Torres interviewed by Ian Scott McGregor.

Accompanying the interview is new footage of Torres’ contemporaries like Frank Frazetta, Al Williamson, Roy Krenkel, Nick Meglin, George Woodbridge, Harvey Kurtzman, Bill Gaines, Al Feldstein, and others.

It was released in conjunction with the Society of Illustrators Museum of Illustration exhibit, What, Me Panic? Celebrating Angelo Torres, which runs through September 3, 2022.

A program book is available at the Society of Illustrators. It contains essays by Annie Gaines Ashton, Ray Cuthbert, Dick DeBartolo, John Ficarra, Grant Geissman, Roger Hill, Steve Ringgenbert, William Stout, and others. Photos, art, memorabilia, and previously unpublished material are also included.
