Todd McDevitt, proprietor of Western Pennsylvania’s New Dimension Comics, says he loves buying and selling comic books, but a close second for him is his love of beer. On Friday, January 13, 2023, he’s taking the opportunity to combine his passions with the Pop-Up Comicon at Crooked Run Brewing in Sterling, Virginia.   

The brewery has a large event space, and after getting to know the staff there, McDevitt said he discovered they are all comic-loving nerds.   

“Brainstorming continued over some shared pints and this event was born!” he said.

"I'm friendly with a lot of dealers in the Virginia-Maryland area, so when I reached out to my pals to let them know I was hosting an event inside a brewery, and they were excited to join,” he said.

His current expectations are that 10 additional vendors will be on-site in addition to his New Dimension team.
