Producer Greg Berlanti has signed a new deal with Warner Bros. Discovery that will run through 2027.

Berlanti has been a major force for Warner Bros. TV on their CW shows, chief among them being the Arrowverse. Berlanti Productions is also behind Riverdale, All American, and Kung Fu, and non-CW shows like Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Titans, and Doom Patrol.

His body of work is so prodigious that during the 2019-2020 TV season, Berlanti set the record for most currently running TV series with 18 live-action, scripted shows.

Described as more of a partnership, the deal sees Berlanti Productions running as a mini-studio under Warner Bros. TV. Per the deal, Berlanti will be rewarded based on the success of the programs he delivers. It is also for TV only since Berlanti still has a film deal with Netflix. The deal kicks in after his current pact with Warner Bros. expires in 2024.

“Greg is a huge talent, and the impact of his prolific and powerful storytelling on Warner Bros. and audiences, and on our culture, is just ‘wow.’ He began his career with us, and we are incredibly fortunate that he will continue to build and grow our TV studio into the future,” WBD CEO David Zaslav said.
