Dynamite Entertainment has hired comics industry pro Scott Nybakken as their Director, Marketing. In this role he will lead Dynamite’s monthly solicitations section in Diamond Comic Distributor’s PREVIEWS catalog. Nybakken will also conduct video interviews with the writers and artists on Dynamite’s latest projects, which will appear on Dynamite’s YouTube channel, InstagramTikTok, and other platforms.

He will report to VP of Sales and Marketing Alan Payne and work with Director of Sales Vince Letterio and Marketing Coordinator Vincent Faust.

Nybakken has worked in comics for over 30 years, starting as an editor for The Comics Journal, published by Fantagraphics Books. He spent more than 20 years working with DC Comics, building their graphic novel line and editing over 1,000 titles that included their biggest sellers and archival projects. He also worked with Insight Editions and did freelance media writing and editing.
