During Heroes Convention, Raney chatted with Scoop about the show and what he is working on now.

Scoop: How has the weekend been so far?
Tom Raney (TR): Oh, it’s been great. Busy, lot of friendly people. Fun times.

Scoop: Which of your books are fans gravitating toward?
TR: Hopefully right now, Cyborg, since I just started that. It only came out two weeks ago.

Scoop: What was the experience like working on that for the first time?
TR: Great. I’m working with DC, Marquis Draper, got Morgan Hampton – brand new writer, he’s awesome, Mike Atiyeh is coloring it. Everything’s great.

Scoop: What other characters or titles would you like to work on?
TR: Too many to name. I’ve been lucky enough to work on a lot of them, but there’s still a bunch I haven’t gotten to.

Scoop: What do you like about attending comic conventions?
TR: Meeting people that are into the type of stuff that we do. Getting to catch up with friends.

Scoop: How does Heroes Con compare to other shows?
TR: It’s great, it’s one of my favorites. Heroes Con and Baltimore, they’re both fan oriented, family oriented. Just great, friendly people attending. Enthusiastic.

Scoop: Which cons are you attending this summer?
TR: Let’s see, I’ve got Garden State Comic Fest, Terrificon, and Baltimore.
