Mike W. Barr has been writing comics and novels for 50 years. He is known for his work on Batman and the Outsiders, Batman: Son of the Demon, Star Trek adaptations, his creator owned Camelot 3000, as well as The Brave and the Bold, The Outsiders, World’s Finest Comics, and much more.

Due to multiple health related issues, Barr is in need of financial assistance. According to the GoFundMe page created to help Barr, he has had multiple knee replacement surgeries and is still suffering the effects of having COVID-19. His condition left him unsteady and he suffered a fall that left him unconscious for four days until he was found. He had a serious concussion and spent several months in the hospital where he had more surgeries.
