Pedigree Comics recently purchased a near-complete high grade collection of Fantastic Four #2-250, plus Annuals, according to Pedigree CEO and President Doug Schmell. The entire collection will debut in Pedigree’s upcoming December “World’s Greatest Fantastic Four Comic Magazine Auction.” It is scheduled to begin in less than two weeks, on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, and last for two weeks until Wednesday, December 14, as a separate event on the Pedigree Comics website.

There is no buyer’s premium on any of the lots in the auction and every book is listed with no reserve. Every book is CGC-graded and the minimum bid is $100 for this exclusive Fantastic Four auction. The comics can now be viewed on Pedigree’s website under the auction banner.

The collection (dubbed the Central London Collection) comes out of Great Britain from a high grade collector and Fantastic Four enthusiast. This collection took many years to put together and he decided now was the right time to sell. Many of the early issues are graded 8.0 and 8.5, the issues in the #20s are mostly 8.5, and then climb to 9.0 and higher in the #30s. By issue #39, the books are all 9.2 and 9.4. Later issues, starting with #71, are graded 9.6 and 9.8, and every issue in #166-250 are graded 9.8. The Annuals are all graded 9.0 to 9.8.

The collection is near-complete and is only missing #1, #3, #120, and #124. Highlights are Fantastic Four #2 8.0, #4 7.5, #5 8.5, #7 8.0, #10 9.4, #11 8.0, #12 8.0, #13 8.0, #18 8.5, #23 9.0, #25 8.5, #33 9.0, #36 9.2, #42 9.4, #44 9.4, #45 9.4, #46 9.4, #47 9.4, #48 9.2, #49 9.2, #50 9.2 (White Mountain), #51 9.4, #52 9.6, #53 9.4, #55 9.4 (Mass. copy), #66 9.4, #67 9.6, #72 9.6, #74 9.6, #75 9.4, #80 9.6, #82 9.8, #106 9.8, #107 9.8, #108 9.8, #109 9.8, #112 9.6, #113 9.8, 114 9.8, #126 9.8 (Oakland), #127 9.8, #131 9.8, and #134 9.8, and Fantastic Four Annual #1 9.0, #2 9.0, #3 9.6, #4 9.4, #5 9.8, and #6 9.4.
