The Hero Initiative, the charity dedicated to helping comic book creators in medical or financial need, is traveling to Baltimore Comic-Con on October 18-20, 2019 at the Baltimore Convention Center.

Hero will be the exclusive home of a number of top creators at the con. Brett Breeding (Superman), John McCrea (Wolverine), Kevin Nowlan (Batman), Ty Templeton (Superman), and Adam Warren (Empowered) will all be found only at the Hero Initiative booth. They’ll be sketching and signing all weekend.

The Hero Initiative Lifetime Achievement Award and Dick Giordano Humanitarian of the Year award will be awarded during the Mike Wieringo Comic Industry Awards. Commonly known as the Ringo Awards, this annual celebration of the creativity, skill, and fun of comics is taking place on Saturday, October 19.

Hero Initiative Ambassadors Mark Buckingham, Jim Calafiore, Richard Case, Katie Cook, Steve Englehart, Gerhard, Sanford Greene, Jamal Igle, Greg Land, Joseph Michael Linsner, Stuart Moore, Andrew Pepoy, Tom Peyer, Brandon Peterson, Joe Pruett, Tom Raney, Ron Randall, Walter Simonson, Andy Smith, Joe Staton, Gus Vasquez, Robert Venditti, Mark Waid, Marv Wolfman, Thom Zahler, and more will also be on the con floor with their Hero Initiative donation jars.
