Roy Horn of the magic duo Siegfried and Roy died on Friday, May 8, 2020 due to complications from coronavirus. He was 75 years old.

Horn and Siegfried Fischbacher have been entertaining generations of viewers at their Las Vegas animal and magic show. Prior to their 40-year run in Vegas, the duo began their performances in Europe at nightclubs. They added tigers to their act and were invited to Vegas in the late ’60s.

Their revue closed after Horn was attacked by one of the tigers on stage in October 2003, severing his spine. Suffering a stroke and massive blood loss, Horn needed two surgeries to save his life.

Siegfried and Roy only performed together one more time for a benefit in 2010. After that, Horn spent his time traveling and visiting animals, also participating in philanthropic events in Las Vegas.
