Popular comic creator Sean Murphy is introducing his new title The Plot Holes on Kickstarter. Plot Holes is a group of fictional warriors who travel into the pages of other books where they’ll use their skills to save the plots and keep them from being destroyed. The new recruit is Cliff, a comic creator who just learned that his world isn’t actually real.

“On its surface, The Plot Holes is an adventure story that treks through dozens of different genres with a wide range of characters, offering something for every kind of reader,” the Kickstarter campaign description reads. “But on a deeper level, The Plot Holes asks meta-textual questions like no comic ever has: if Cliff knows he’s not real, then why does he want to survive? Is the team really ‘alive’ if they only exist in our imaginations? And what happens to them if they die?”

The project has already been funded however, with about a week to go, there are still perks available for new backers. They include digital and print copies, retailer packs, Skype chats, and original art. Details on the project and backing the book are available at Kickstarter.
