The end of the world is happening and the dysfunctional family in The Umbrella Academy must save it. Netflix has released a trailer for the second season of the show, which sees the Hargreeves family witness the world’s end when they are sent back into the past.

They are dropped into Dallas, Texas just 10 days before the end. Number Five searches for his missing family, who are in different states than when he left, and they learn that they are linked to JFK’s assassination.

“Blasted back in time to 1960s Dallas, the scattered siblings build new lives for themselves – until a new doomsday threat pulls them back together,” the synopsis reads.

Based on the comic created by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá, the show stars Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher and Justin Min. Season two will be released on Netflix on July 31, 2020.
