Marvel has announced that select Black Widow comics will have variant covers featuring art inspired by the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, Black Widow.

The superspy and Avenger will see a special variant on Black Widow #3, the next issue in the current ongoing series by Kelly Thompson and Elena Casagrande. The other covers will be on the one-shots for Black Widow: Widow’s Sting #1 by Ralph Macchio and Simone Buonfantino, and Widowmakers: Red Guardian and Yelena Belova #1 by Devin Grayson and Michele Bandini.

The Black Widow #3 cover shows Jen Bartel’s depiction of Scarlett Johannson ready for action. Chris Samnee returns to the series for a movie poster-style cover on Widowmakers: Red Guardian and Yelena Belova #1. Artist Stefano Caselli produces an action shot for Black Widow: Widow’s Sting #1.

The covers will be available starting in October 2020. Black Widow is currently set for theatrical release on May 7, 2021.
