Actress Elsa Raven, known for her role in Back to the Future, died on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. She was 91 years old.

Raven had a small but memorable role in Back to the Future as the woman desperately seeking donations to “Save the clock tower!” She was also in Titanic as Ida Strauss, one half of the older couple that lies in bed together as the ship sinks.

She was born in Charleston, South Carolina on September 21, 1929. Raven’s onscreen work began in 1963 in episodes of Combat! and General Hospital. She was in The Amityville Horror as Mrs. Townsend, was in Twilight Zone: The Movie, and starred in the late ‘80s shows Amen and Wiseguy.

In the mid to late ‘90s, Raven starred in Days of Our Lives. Throughout her career, she guest starred in popular shows like Quincy M.E., The A-Team, Family Ties, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Murphy Brown, Seinfeld, and ER. Her final roles were in 2011 in Answers to Nothing and They’re with Me.
