Actor Jeremy Bulloch, known for playing Boba Fett in Star Wars, passed away on December 17, 2020 following health complications. He had been dealing with Parkinson’s disease for several years. According to his website, Bulloch had been in the hospital for weeks before his passing. He was 75 years old.

Bulloch joined the Star Wars franchise in The Empire Strikes Back, introducing audiences to a character who would become a favorite for fans despite little screen time. He returned as the crafty bounty hunter Boba Fett in Return of the Jedi, as well as in the Return of the Ewok video short. He also appeared in Revenge of the Sith as Captain Colton.

Born on February 16, 1945 in Market Harborough, Leicestershire, England, Bulloch became a fan of acting at a very young age. When he was 12, he starred in a breakfast cereal commercial and had several uncredited appearances on screen. His big break came in 1960, starring on the TV show Counter-Attack! and on the show The Chequered Flag.

He had recurring roles on Billy Bunter of Greyfriars School and Compact, then starred in The Newcomers in the late ‘60s. He guest starred in multiple episodes of Doctor Who and was in the James Bond movies The Spy Who Loved Me, For Your Eyes Only, and Octopussy.

After Return of the Jedi, he guest starred in the Robin Hood TV series, was in Swing Kids, guest starred in Sloggers, and was in the Aristocrats miniseries. His later work was in Law & Order: UK, Starhyke, voice work in Night Traveler, and his final role was in the short Tale of a Timelord.

Until he retired in 2018, Bulloch was a frequent guest at comic, sci-fi, and pop culture conventions, greeting long lines of Boba Fett fans.
