Titan Comics has announced a new Doctor Who series focused on Missy, one of the Doctor’s greatest enemies. Missy #1 will be in stores in April 2021.

Missy, the female incarnation of the Master, was introduced as a nemesis to the Twelfth Doctor. Michelle Gomez brought the character to life in the show with charisma, humor, and ferocity. Her likeness is used for the comic.

Once again Missy is plotting war against the Doctor, this time by trying to get a secret weapon that would cause destruction throughout the universe. The Third and Twelfth Doctors most work together if they have any chance of stopping her deadly scheme.

This special story is being released during the 50th anniversary of the Master’s first appearance on the iconic TV show and will feature more Doctors and Masters than in previous stories.

It will see the return of the Doctor Who comics creative team of writer Jody Houser (Stranger Things), artist Roberta Ingranata (Witchblade), and colorist Enrica Angiolini (Warhammer 40,000).

“I wrote a few pages of Missy way back in The Road to Thirteen, and I’ve been dying to write more of her ever since. Her ineffable cunning and sense of fun make her the most delightful sort of monster,” Houser said.
