What if Looney Tunes went R-rated? That’s the look of The Boys animated series. Amazon Prime Video has released a short teaser and announced the premiere date for The Boys Presents: Diabolical.

The teaser is only 20 seconds in length, which is long enough to show the dangers of the laser baby. The character harkens back to the first season of The Boys when Billy Butcher and Mother’s Milk found a secret Vought lab where babies had been injected with Compound V.

Diabolical will consist of eight episodes that run around 12-14 minutes, and each episode will feature a different animation style. The series begins on March 4, 2022, three months before The Boys returns for season three.

The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke is among the animated series’ executive producers. Episodes are written by The Boys’ creator Garth Ennis, Awkwafina, Eliot Glazer, Ilana Glazer, The Boys executive producers Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen, The Boys after show host Aisha Tyler, Simon Racioppa, Justin Roiland, Ben Bayouth, and Andy Samberg.
