Neil Gaiman fans have the opportunity to win a signed copy of one of his books by donating to charity. The campaign is live at Crowdfunder.co.uk in support of the Lenny Henry Centre for Media Diversity at Birmingham City University.
The prizes are one of three collector’s edition books signed by Gaiman to raise funds for diversity in media. In addition to signing the books – Coraline, Neverwhere, and American Gods – Gaiman will also add doodles and they will come with certificates of authenticity.
Entries start at a £5 donation for one entry in the drawing, £10 gets three entries, £25 gets ten entries, and £50 gets 25 entries.
The Lenny Henry Centre for Media Diversity’s work has included exploring issues of racism, sexism, and problems that people with disabilities face in media. More details on the organization are available on their Crowdfunder page.
The goal is to raise £5,000 (around $6,500). At press time, they had raised £1,430 (about $1,860).
