The Society of Illustrators is running an exhibit on the art of cartoonist and caricaturist Angelo Torres now through September 3, 2022. On Friday, July 8, fans will have the opportunity to meet the artist himself.

Torres, known for his work in MAD, EC, and Warren, will appear at the Society of Illustrators Museum of Illustration from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM to sign exhibition books and talk to fans.

The exhibit features Torres’ art from EC, Warren, MAD, and more, as well as a sampling of original art by Al Williamson, Frank Frazetta, Gray Morrow, Wallace Wood, Jack Davis, Reed Crandall, Will Elder, and others. A preview of new art by Torres and Stefan Koidl for The Unwanted, the upcoming Fantagraphics Otto Binder graphic novel, will also be displayed, and exhibits will feature commentary that provides context for the work.

Attendees must provide proof of vaccination and wear masks at the signing. The museum is located at 128 East 63rd Street in New York City.
