For the first time in the 52-year history of The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide, there is an Overstreet Advisors Exclusive edition.

We commissioned artist Aaron Lopresti, who did such a wonderful job on our EC Horror Hosts cover this year, to create a cover honoring Bob Overstreet and his contribution to the hobby and industry we all love. For inspiration, we gave him a vintage photo of Bob reading Batman #9, told him of Bob’s long-held interest in UFOs, and then we turned him loose.

There was, though, one more restriction: Bob couldn’t find out about it.

And in fact, he didn’t learn about the cover until just last week, only eight days before its release.

An Overstreet cover so rare that Overstreet didn’t know about it? Precisely! In fact, other than our staff and a couple of noted historians, the only folks who will receive this exclusive hardcover (there is no soft cover version) are Overstreet Advisors.

“In case you’re wondering, both Bob and his wife, Carol, loved it. Of course, we were blown away by Aaron’s work, too,” said J.C. Vaughn, Vice-President of Publishing for Gemstone Publishing.

“Even though I never met him, Robert Overstreet had a profound influence on me as a young comic collector and reader. It is an honor and privilege to have the opportunity to immortalize Mr. Overstreet on the cover of his own book in a way that celebrates the awe and wonder that captured all of us at some point during our youth,” Aaron Lopresti said.

Overstreet Advisors who updated their addresses as requested or elected to get their copies in person at Comic-Con International: San Diego on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, will receive their copies this week.
