The next Baltimore Comic-Con will be held on October 28-30, 2022, at the Baltimore Convention Center. The latest round of creators added to the guest list are Jeffrey Burandt, Jim Cheung, Brian Haberlin, Dean Haspiel, Laura Martin, Whitney Matheson, David Petersen, Matt Smith, Sean Von Gorman, and Rich Woodall.

Burandt is known for writing and co-creating Ghost Planet, Killer Bad, and Odd Schnozz & The Odd Squad.

Cheung’s comic art career began with Marvel UK in the mid-1990s, then he transitioned to Iron Man, X-Force, and co-created Scion for Crossgen Comics in the US. At Marvel he created titles like Infinity and Young Avengers, and has worked on Justice League, Avengers vs. X-Men, New Avengers, and Original Sin.

Haberlin, an artist-writer-editor-producer, started at Top Cow Productions where he co-created Witchblade. He co-founded Avalon Studios, which published Stone, Aria, and Area 52, and he was editor in chief of Todd McFarlane Productions where he penciled and inked Spawn. Haberlin co-founded Anomaly Productions and is currently writing and illustrating Hellcop.

Haspiel is a cartoonist known for creating The Red Hook and Billy Dogma, and he illustrated HBO’s Bored to Death. As a writer and artists, he has worked with for Marvel, DC/Vertigo, Archie, Image, and Webtoon.

As a colorist, Martin’s work can be seen at DC, Marvel, Image, Dark Horse, Virgin, and CrossGen. Recently, she has worked on Eniac at Bad Idea, Nubia: Queen of the Amazons, and Hulk.

Matheson is a children’s book author, cartoonist, playwright, and journalist. Her work includes the book We Make Comics, the play and short film Denny Barracuda, and she wrote the pop culture blog Pop Candy.

As a cartoonist and children’s book illustrator, Petersen began his career on his self-published issue of Mouse Guard, which was then picked up by Archaia. He has worked on covers for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and The Dark Crystal, drew an edition of Kenneth Grahame’s Wind in the Willows, and his art appeared on the 2012 Baltimore Comic-Con program and t-shirt.

Smith is a writer-artist of Barbarian Lord for Houghton Mifflin books. He has worked on Lake of Fire, Folklords, and Hellboy.

Von Gorman co-created ToeTag Riot, Secret Adventures of Houdini, and Pawn Shop. His art has appeared at Image, Mad Cave, Dark Horse Comics, and Dynamite Entertainment, he worked on the anthologies Occupy Comics and Love is Love, as well as contributing covers to Star Trek comics.

Woodall is the co-publisher of Black Caravan, a Scout Comics Imprint. He co-created The Electric Black, Gods of Brutality, Kyrra: Alien Jungle Girl, and provided covers for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Last Ronin, The Powerpuff Girls, and Masters of the Universe.

“We’ve got some spectacular guests coming this year,” Baltimore Comic-Con show promoter Marc Nathan said. “From award winning creators to industry publishers, these folks have worked on some of the best comics out there (and continue to do so!). Comics fans won't want to miss it!”
