Star Wars has announced the cast for the upcoming Disney+ series, The Acolyte. The series set in the final days of the High Republic era will be led by Russian Doll showrunner Leslye Headland.

The Matrix star Carrie-Ann Moss and Lee Jung-jae (who won an Emmy for Squid Game) will join Amandla Stenberg (The Hunger Games), who was previously announced in a starring role.

The cast also includes Dafne Keen (His Dark Materials), Jodie Turner-Smith (The Last Ship), Dean-Charles Chapman (1917), Charlie Barnett (Russian Doll), Rebecca Henderson (Inventing Anna), and Manny Jacinto (The Good Place).

Star Wars has described the show as “a mystery-thriller” filled with secrets in the shadows and the Dark Side’s power making itself known as the High Republic era comes to a close. The series will follow a former Padawan who reconnects with her Jedi Master to investigate several crimes, only to learn that the situation is much darker than they anticipated.
