The Baltimore Comic-Con will return to the Baltimore Convention Center on September 8-10, 2023. The show is continuing to build their guest list with the additions of Richard Case, Amy Chu, Derec Donovan, Morry Hollowell, Mark Irwin, and Karl Moline.

Case has illustrated Grant Morrison’s run on Doom Patrol, and contributed to titles like Doctor Strange, Sandman, Sensational Spider-Man, and Batman ’66. More recently, he worked with Peter Milligan on a modern day adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe’s Fall of the House of Usher.

As a comics and animation writer, Chu has written for Wonder Woman, Poison Ivy, Deadpool, Ant-Man, and Iron Man. She is known for her run on Red Sonja and as the first woman to write the KISS and Green Hornet series. Her work for children includes Sea Sirens and Sky Island and Ana & the Cosmic Race. Chu’s recent work includes the Netflix anime series DOTA: Dragon’s Blood, Rick & Morty, and Archie.

Donovan is a penciler, inker, colorist, and writer, whose career began on DC’s L.E.G.I.O.N. in 1994. He has worked for all the major publishers, with notable work in Batman, Venom, Green Lantern, Avengers, X-Men, JLA, JSA, Superman, and more. His work on Adventures of Superman with Joe Casey is considered among the best Superman storylines.

Hollowell was a Joe Kubert School student who became a colorist at CrossGen Comics, then expanded to work with Marvel, Image, Legendary, Valiant, and DC. His popular work includes Marvel Knights 4, Marvel Civil War, New Avengers, Old Man Logan, and Non-Stop Spider-Man.

Irwin is a Joe Kubert School graduate who became an art director for Heavy Metal magazine, Wildstorm Consumer Products, and Upper Deck Entertainment. He was the Executive Editor for Insight Comics and IDW, and is currently the Senior Vice President of Mad Cave Studios. He has also written and inked books for DC, Marvel, Dark Horse, Image, and other publishers.

Moline has been a professional comic book artist working for all of the major comics publishers for more than 20 years. He is best known for his work on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and co-creating Fray with Joss Whedon, but has also worked on titles such as Superboy-Convergence, Avengers Arena, Avengers Academy, Rogue, Route 666, Daredevil 2099, Loners, Seekers of the Weird, Hulk Smash, Avengers, B.P.R.D., and Spider-Man Unlimited, among others.
