Adventures, exploration, and dangerous missions await in the second season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Paramount Plus released a trailer for the show’s sophomore season that reacquaints the crew and teases the action to come.

The crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise will explore new territories and meet new civilizations while also embarking on their own personal journeys. “Facing friends and enemies both new and familiar, their adventures will unfold in surprising ways never seen before on any Star Trek series,” the show’s description states.

The trailer includes a first look at the crossover episode with the animated series Star Trek: Lower Decks, featuring Beckett Mariner (Tawny Newsome) and Brad Boimler (Jack Quaid) in live-action form. That special episode will also feature some animation and it was directed by Star Trek: The Next Generation star Jonathan Frakes.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds stars Anson Mount as Captain Christopher Pike, Rebecca Romijn as Una Chin-Riley, Ethan Peck as Spock, Melissa Navia as Lt. Erica Ortegas, Jess Bush as Christine Chapel, Christina Chong as La’An Noonien-Singh, Celia Rose Gooding as Nyota Uhura, Babs Olusanmokun as Joseph M’Benga, and Melanie Scrofano as Captain Batel.

Season two premieres on Thursday, June 15, 2023.
