Oscar winning actress, famed scream queen, and Oscar nominee Jamie Lee Curtis is making her graphic novel writing debut with a horror story. Mother Nature is an eco-horror story cowritten by filmmaker Russell Goldman and illustrated by Karl Stevens. The book is adapted from the script for the upcoming Comet Pictures and Blumhouse horror movie of the same name that will be directed by Curtis. It will be published by Titan Comics and be in stores in August 2023.

Mother Nature introduces Nova Terrell, who witnessed her father’s death due to mysterious circumstances on an experimental oil extraction project for the Cobalt Corporation. She grew up hating the company even though it is the central source of jobs for Catch Creek, New Mexico. Determined to destroy the oil giant, Nova accidently uncovers what is really behind the Mother Nature project and a vengeful entity that could kill them all.

“I first thought about this story when I was 19 years old,” Curtis said. “I’ve always been aware of the very unbalanced relationship between humans and nature, and even though I was young, I always knew that, inevitably, nature would win.

Mother Nature is a 176-page hardcover graphic novel priced at $29.99. It will be available in August 8.
