Heritage Auctions has named Robert Fornesi as their Consignment Director of Comics in San Francisco.

Fornesi is an expert in comics from the Golden to Modern Ages, as well as original comic art. He started collecting Marvel superhero comics when he was a kid, then later Fornesi turned his passion for collecting into a career. He also has a background in the technology field, which gave him the opportunity to foster his passion for comics.

“We had always enjoyed dealing with Robert at comic conventions and online, and are thrilled to have him be part of our team moving forward,” Heritage Vice President Barry Sandoval said.

“I have never been more excited about comics,” Fornesi said. “My interests have expanded to horror comics and original art. My first love will always be Steve Ditko’s Amazing Spider-Man, but now I want the original art, and there is no better place than Heritage Auctions, the top comic auctioneer in the world.”
