The students of Cobra Kai, Eagle Fang, and Miyagi-Do are joining forces to compete in the Sekai Taikai international karate tournament. But just because they finally ended longstanding rivalries doesn’t mean that old resentments aren’t still an issue.

Netflix released the first trailer for Cobra Kai season 6 part 1, picking up after Terry Silver’s arrest and the closure of Cobra Kai. Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio), Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), and Chozen Toguchi (Yuji Okumoto) are ready to start training their students using their sometimes incongruent styles. John Kreese (Martin Kove), who faked his death and broke out of prison, is helping fellow former Cobra Kai sensei Kim Da-Eun (Alicia Hannah-Kim) to train her students.

The teens are facing their own turmoil with Sam (Mary Mouser) acknowledging the new level of competition, Miguel (Xolo Maridueña) realizing that he’ll have to fight Robby (Tanner Buchanan) again, and Tori (Peyton List) still dealing with the same old problems. As the unconventional training commences – including beer bottles shot through a pitching machine – Daniel and Chozen find a box that Mr. Miyagi had hidden in his house.

Cobra Kai also stars Courtney Henggeler, Jacob Bertrand, Gianni DeCenzo, Vanessa Rubio, Griffin Santopietro, and Dallas Dupree Young.

The sixth and final season of Cobra Kai will stream in three parts with five episodes in each one. Part one debuts on Netflix on July 18, 2024.
