Kite Man, the enthusiastic and optimistic C-list villain, is getting his own show. Max released the first trailer for the animated series, Kite Man: Hell Yeah, which is a spinoff of the R-rated Harley Quinn cartoon show.

The trailer catches up with Kite Man who was once engaged to Poison Ivy before she left him at the altar for Harley Quinn. Kite Man is in a relationship with Golden Glider, and together they own a bar. He gets another gig when Bane needs help from someone with flight capabilities to pull off a job – which doesn’t go well, and he ends up electrocuted.

The hits keep coming when Kite Man’s dad is dismissive and attempts to upgrade his suit are comically underwhelming. The trailer also teases a bloody naked fight, a giant cat, Bane getting a new look, and villains gathering at the bar.

Kite Man: Hell Yeah features voice actors who work on Harley Quinn with Matt Oberg as Kite Man, James Adomian as Bane, and Kaley Cuoco as Harley Quinn. The cast also includes Stephanie Hsu as Golden Glider, Lance Reddick as Lex Luthor, and Keith David as Darkseid.

The series debuts on Max on July 18, 2024. The trailer contains some adult language; it can be viewed on YouTube.
