On September 20-22, 2024, Baltimore Comic-Con will host their 25th anniversary show. With just a few weeks to go, the con is still announcing guests, including Jeremy Bastian, Shane Davis, Laura Martin, David Petersen, Tom Raney, and Jim Starlin.

Bastian is the creator and artist of Cursed Pirate Girl, and he has contributed to Guild: Tink, Mouse Guard: Legends of the Guard, Little Nemo: Dream Another Dream, and Under the Moons of Mars: New Adventures on Barsoom.

Davis has been working in comics for over 20 years with DC, Marvel, Image, and Legendary Pictures. He is best known for Superman: Earth One and Rage of the Red Lanterns, as well as Superman/Batman, New Gods, and Batman. He is currently working on creator-owned properties like Inglorious Rex, Starlight Cats, and Axcend.

As a colorist, Martin’s work can be seen at DC, Marvel, Image, Dark Horse, Virgin, and CrossGen. Recently, she has worked on Eniac at Bad Idea, Nubia: Queen of the Amazons, and Hulk.

As a cartoonist and children’s book illustrator, Petersen began his career on his self-published issue of Mouse Guard, which was then picked up by Archaia. He has worked on covers for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and The Dark Crystal, drew an edition of Kenneth Grahame’s Wind in the Willows, and his art appeared on the 2012 Baltimore Comic-Con program and t-shirt.

Raney has contributed to Marvel’s Ultimate Universe, Valiant’s relaunched titles, and Dark Horse’s Star Wars among many others. His art is also seen in Threshold, Incredible Hulk, Titan’s Monster Massacre hardcover collection, and a year-long run on Green Lantern.

As a writer and creator, Starlin has worked on many of the most noteworthy creations in comics. He is behind Shang-Chi, Master of Kung Fu, and created Gamora, Drax the Destroyer, and Thanos. He has had runs on Marvel’s Captain Marvel, Warlock, Silver Surfer, Infinity Gauntlet, Infinity War, and Infinity Crusade, as well as DC’s Batman, The Weird, and Cosmic Odyssey. More recently, he has worked on Stormwatch, Green Lantern: Mongul, and Thanos: The Infinity Revelation.

“These are some amazingly strong creators,” Baltimore Comic-Con show promoter Marc Nathan said. “Each is a skilled artist and storyteller, and their respective bodies of work are outstanding. These are folks the fans are going to want art from, and we’re thrilled to be able to host their appearance this year.”
