Eddie Brock’s life has been pretty weird the last few years. He was a down and out reporter who bonded with an alien symbiote that has a penchant for violence. Now that Eddie (Tom Hardy) has come to peace with his other half, Venom’s creators are coming to Earth to find them.
Sony Pictures and Marvel Entertainment have released the final trailer for Venom: The Last Dance, which opens with a comical bit as Venom clings to the side of a plane and winks at a passenger who sees him. After Venom tells Eddie that the creature after them was sent by his creator, a group of military scientists discuss other alien symbiotes and that they are running from something.
From there, the trailer flashes back to some of their earlier moments, showing how far they’ve come as a team. A doctor warns Eddie that the world can’t survive if they stay together, teasing the conclusion of their story in this final installment of the trilogy. The serious tone is tempered by several shots of action, a Venom horse, and a funny bit when Venom gets a little too excited about gambling at a casino.
Hardy and Kelly Marcel, who wrote the script for Venom: Let There Be Carnage penned the script for the third entry in the franchise. Marcel has also stepped behind the camera to direct the movie.
Venom: The Last Dance also stars Juno Temple, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Alanna Ubach, Stephen Graham, Rhys Ifans, Peggy Lu, Clark Backo, and Ivo Nandi. The movie premieres in theaters on October 25, 2024.
