Prey star Amber Midthunder has joined the cast of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters for a recurring role in season two of the Apple TV+ series. She will star as Isabel who is described as “an intelligent and powerful businesswoman.”

The first season of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters followed a pair of siblings who investigate their family’s connection to giant monsters and Monarch. The story takes them to an Army officer who knows things about Monarch that threatens the secret agency.

Midthunder is best known for starring in Prey, a prequel film in the Predator franchise. She was in the TV series Legion and Roswell, New Mexico, and the movies The Ice Road and Rez Ball. Some of her upcoming projects are Novocaine and Opus.

The show was created by Chris Black and Matt Fraction who are also executive producers and showrunners. The first season starred Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell, Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Joe Tippett, Mari Yamamoto, Elisa Lasowski, Anders Holm, and John Goodman.

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is part of Legendary’s Monsterverse, which began in 2014’s Godzilla. The film series also includes Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Godzilla vs. Kong, and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.
