The Harvey Awards have announced five inductees to the Hall of Fame class of 2024. The individuals will be honored at the awards ceremony on Friday, October 18 at New York Comic Con. Inductees are Arthur Adams, Sergio Aragonés, John Buscema, Larry Hama, and Akira Toriyama.
Adams is an artist and writer best known for his work at Marvel on titles like Uncanny X-Men, X-Factor, and Excalibur.
Aragonés created Groo the Wanderer and was a longtime contributor to Mad magazine.
Buscema worked extensively at Marvel and his work helped to shape the way the publisher’s comics looked from the 1960s to ‘80s.
Hama is a writer and artist who has worked extensively in G.I. Joe comics.
Toriyama was a manga artist and designer who created Dragon Ball, Sand Land, and Dr. Slump.
